Terms and Conditions
1. Quotation Validity
All quotations issued by theauthorx are valid for a period of seven (7) days from the date of issuance unless otherwise specified. Acceptance of the quotation within this period is required to secure the stated pricing and service terms. If the scope of work or word count changes after acceptance, the final fee may be adjusted accordingly.
2. Scope of Services
theauthorx will provide digital content editing services as described in the quotation. Any additional requests or modifications made after the commencement of work may result in revised pricing or extended delivery timelines.
3. Client Responsibilities
Clients are responsible for providing all necessary materials, instructions, and information required to complete the editing service at the time of order. theauthorx is not liable for delays or errors resulting from incomplete or inaccurate information supplied by the client.
4. Intellectual Property
All documents submitted by the client remain the client’s intellectual property. theauthorx claims no ownership over submitted content and will treat all materials as confidential. Clients warrant that they own or have obtained the necessary rights to submit the materials for editing and that the content does not infringe on any third-party rights.
5. Payment Terms
Payment is due in full upon completion of the service and prior to the release of the final edited document, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Accepted payment methods include electronic transfer and other methods specified on the invoice. All invoices must be settled within fifteen (15) days of the invoice date. Late payments may incur interest at a rate of up to 12% per annum or the maximum rate permitted by law.
6. Taxes and Fees
The client is responsible for all applicable taxes, including sales, use, or similar taxes, unless a valid exemption certificate is provided at the time of order.
7. Cancellation and Refunds
Once the client has accepted the quotation and work has commenced, the order is considered final. No cancellations or refunds will be granted after editing work has begun. Any changes to the order after commencement may incur additional charges.
8. Limitation of Liability
theauthorx will provide services with reasonable care and skill but does not guarantee publication or acceptance of any edited work. Liability for any claim arising out of the service is limited to the amount paid by the client for that specific service. theauthorx is not responsible for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
9. Confidentiality
All client documents and personal information will be treated as confidential and will not be shared with third parties except as necessary to provide the agreed-upon service or as required by law.
10. Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which theauthorx operates. Any disputes arising from these terms or the services provided will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the local courts.
By accepting the quotation or proceeding with the service, the client acknowledges and agrees to these terms and conditions.
